Waiting for Pentecost: guided tour

For the Pentecost celebrations, the Basilica of St. Mary of the Martyrs has organised exceptional visits to present and explain the incredible shower of red rose petals, its history, its meaning, its preparation. Visits will be conducted  12th May 13th May and 14th May at 2pm.

Pentecost 2017: the amazing rain of rose petals at the Pantheon. Follow the live event on Facebook and Twitter

Once again during Pentecost, a shower of red rose petals will fall inside the Pantheon of Rome!

 May 15th , at the end of the Holy Mass to celebrate Pentecost, which is scheduled for 10:30 am, firefighters will reach the top of the dome - 43 metres high - and will drop thousands of red rose petals onto the faithful through the '' eye in the sky ", the wide oculus of 9 metres across that radiates the Pantheon with light.
